3 ALP men, rebel leader killed in Badakhshan

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Three Afghan Local Police members and a notorious Talibaninfo-icon commander have been killed separately in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Monday.

Provincial crime branch police chief Col. Sakhi Dad Hidari told Pajhwok Afghan News that Afghan National Amry (ANA) troops ambushed insurgents on Sunday night in Baharak district.

The ensuing clash left a notorious Taliban commander, Habibullah, dead, the official said.

The same night but elsewhere the rebels ambushed and killed three Afghan local police personnel in Jurm district.

The Taliban have not yet commended about the incidents.
