KHOSTCITY (Pajhwok): The asphalting of one kilometre road in Khost City, the capital of southeastern Khost province, completed on Friday. An official said.

The 24 meteres wide road was asphalted at the cost of 27 million Afghanis. It connects Mujahid Square to Parozai Bridge in the city.

Governor Hukam Khan Habibi at the inaugural ceremony of the project said road construction was completed in four months and the money was provided by the municipality.

Faizullah, a taxi driver, expressed happiness over the construction of the road and asked the government to construct other roads in the city.

Khost City Mayor Eng. Abdul Basir said more attention would be paid for the quality of work in construction projects related to the municipality.

He said the provincial administration planned more projects in the city which will be completed soon.
