Explosives-laden car destroyed near judge’s house

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): The chief judge for central Uruzgan province survived a car bomb attack on Wednesday, an official said.

Malak Zainullah, commander of the first police battalion, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in the limits of the first police district of Tirinkot in the morning.

He added the militants had parked an explosives-laden vehicle in front of the Chief Judge Maulavi Mohammad Jan’s residence.

Police detected the plot and the car was remotely detonated, he said.. No one was hurt in the incident.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Jan criticised police for failing to improve the security situation. He said the car was once parked in front of his house yesterday but police could not capture the militants.
