KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): NATOinfo-icon on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on a convoy of international troops in southern Kandahar province.

Two US soldiers were killed and four more wounded in the Talibaninfo-icon-claimed assault near the capital of southern Kandahar province on Wednesday.

In a statement, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg offered his sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the fallen and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, said.

“This cowardly and brutal attack will not deter us in our mission to help the Afghan security forces stabilise their country, and prevent it from ever again becoming a safe haven for international terrorism,” he said.

Two US service members were killed in action in Kandahar, when their convoy came under attack, said Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain Jeff Davis.
