Chinese companies interested to play part in Afghanistan reconstruction

BEIJING (Pajhwok): Chinese construction companies have shown interest to invest and work in Afghanistaninfo-icon and contribute in the development of war-torn country.

Zhang Donglei, General Affairs Department and General Manager of STECOL, recalled the reconstructioninfo-icon of Kabulinfo-icon-Torkhum road was critical to the humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan. He was addressing the South Asia and Southeast Asia journalists gathering in Tianjin City of capital Beijing.  

He said $31.5 million were spent by a Chinese engineering company, China Railway Shisiju Group Corporation, for the first reconstruction phase of the vital 222-km Kabul-Jalalabad-Torkham road in 2003.

"The reconstruction of this road played an important role in Afghanistan's economic recovery and rapid development. He said that Afghanistan is our neighbouring country and it will be our pleasure to work on more projects there beneficial for the local public and economy.

There have been enormous business opportunities in Afghanistan and great potential which needs to be utilized, headed.

“We have been looking forward to get chance for more working on more projects for their better and prosperous future. Chinese Company keen to investing in Afghanistan, Said Donglei.
