Car full of explosives seized in Kapisa

MAHMOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Police forces have seized a car full of explosives in the capital of central Kapisa province, an official said Tuesday.

Mohammad Ayub Yousufzai, provincial police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Corolla model car was seized in Shukhi area of Mahmod Raqi, capital of Kapisa on Monday night.

He said the car was loaded with 15 BM1 rockets and other explosives. The driver of the car has managed to escape but police are chasing him.

Yousufzai said the driver of the car wanted to transfer the explosives to Najrab and Tagab districts of the province and target security posts.

Sabrullah, a resident of Najrab district, said militants most of the times targeted security posts in their areas during the night. Majority of victims of such attacks are civilians.

No militant groups yet commented on the issue so far.
