4 civilians dead, 14 wounded as blast rocks Khost City
KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Four civilians were killed and 14 others wounded as a result of a landmine explosion in southeastern Khost province on Sunday, an official said.
Police chief Brig. Gen. Faizullah Ghairat told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place at 11:00am in a mobile phone market in the city. The official said the explosives had been placed in a mobile store.
No one has so far been arrested in connection with the bombing, but a police search is ongoing. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
Meanwhile, Public Health Director Dr. Habib Shah Ansari said four bodies and 14 injured people were evacuated to hospital. Some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
